Cross Fell

Parking was all good at Kirkland, something to be said for going to these out of the way places. Sixteen headed off toward Cross Fell in reasonably good weather. Rain threatened but never came to much but the higher we got it did get rather cold with some snow still covering the summit and approach.
As it was bitter at the top a quick lunch was had before heading off in the direction of Great Dunn Fell. We took the path South West from Tees Head taking us down via Wildboar Scar. It was much warmer getting down into the valley for the longish walk back to the cars. Thanks to everyone who turned out and sorry we had nowhere for after walk tea and stuff. Hope to see you all next time.
Regards Pete
