Despite the road closures in town due to the Carlisle half marathon, 16 of us managed to make it to the start of the walk. We set off from the RSPB car park at Clesketts on a chilly overcast spring morning. Luckily for us the rain held off but unfortunately the conditions weren't conducive to seeing the adders! However, Pete pointed out the spot were they can be seen on a nice sunny day.
Following our leisurely walk around Geltsdale, Champa kindly invited us back to her house for refreshments. A special thanks to Champa for her hospitality and thanks to everyone who came along
