Starters
Soup of the Day (a)
Served with a freshly baked roll and butter.
Homemade Chicken Liver Pâté (b)
Smooth chicken liver pâté accompanied with wholemeal toast, butter, Cumberland sauce and crisp dressed salad.
Garlic Mushrooms (c)
Button mushrooms cooked in a creamy garlic and herb sauce, served with toasted fresh bread & butter and mixed leaves.
Meatballs (d)
Homemade minced lamb and herb meatballs. Oven baked and cooked in our own Spanish style, spicy tomato sauce, accompanied with garlic bread.
Cajun Chicken Caesar Salad (e) Baby Gem lettuce, cherry tomatoes, croûtons, parmesan shavings and our own Caesar dressing topped with Cajun chicken strips.
Main Course
Steak & Ale Pie (a)
Chunks of local steak tenderised in ale with a puff pastry lid, served with chips & peas.
Classic Handmade 8oz burger (b)
Classic Handmade 8oz burger, grilled to perfection. 100% locally sourced beef. Served in a seeded bun with fresh crisp lettuce, tomato, onion and gherkin, with chips.
Gammon Steak (c)
Centre-Cut Gammon steak served with chips, grilled tomato, button mushrooms and fried egg or pineapple.
Beef Stew & Dumplings (d)
Tender pieces of braising steak with carrot, swede, onions, homemade suet dumplings &creamy mash
Beer Battered Cod (e)
Freshly battered cod fillet served with chips, mushy peas, Tartare Sauce & lemon
Homemade Beef Chilli Con Carne (f)
Spicy minced beef chilli con carne served with basmati rice, nacho chips & cooling sour cream Home
Traditional Roast Dinner (g)
Served with homemade Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast &creamed potatoes, steamed vegetables and rich gravy. Choice of: Roast Beef, Roast Gammon, Roast Chicken (with rich chicken gravy)
Pan Fried Gnocchi (h)
Crispy potato dumplings, cherry tomatoes, olives, fresh spinach & goats cheese, wok fried in olive oil & finished with basil pesto
Mushroom & Red Pepper Stroganoff (i)
Button mushrooms, sliced red peppers & onions flamed in brandy, cooked in a paprika cream sauce. Accompanied with basmati rice.
Mediterranean Goats Cheese Tart (j)
A puff pastry base topped with red onion marmalade, sliced beef tomato, fresh basil & goat’s cheese. Oven baked & served onto a bed of crisp mixed salad, drizzled in balsamic.
