Tarn Crag Walk report
A beautiful sunny day & 18 of us managed to squeeze into the few remaining parking spots at Grasmere. We made our way along the planned route and am pleased to say that after a close inspection the safety officer deemed the decaying bridge safe to cross!! A few breaks were taken to admire the wonderful clear views, reaching the summit of Tarn Crag for our lunch stop though a cooling breeze meant we didn’t linger too long. After enjoying the lovely views over Codale Tarn the awkward descent was negotiated well by the entire party and a final break was taken to enjoy the sunshine on the shores of Easdale Tarn. The temptation of the cooling waters was just too much for one amongst us who decide to try them out … but not for long!! We continued into Grasmere for refreshments. Welcome to Mark, joining us for the first time, we hope to see you again in the near future. Thanks to everyone for coming along and making a very enjoyable day.
